Tony Barba
Tony Barba is a recent addition to Chicago after living in New York City for the last decade. Graduating in 2001 from the NYU jazz department, Barba studied saxophone with such notables as George Garzone and Ralph Lalama. SInce then, Tony has performed in the United States, Europe, Canada, Asia and Africa with such artists as Andrew Hill, Tony Malaby, Ben Monder, David Murray, Angelica Sanchez, Al Vizutti, Tony Scherr, Steven Bernstein, Satoko Fujji, Herb Robertson, Oscar Noriega, Andrew D’Angelo, Ellery Eskelin, Shane Endsley, Matt Moran, Joe Fiedler, the Youngblood Brass Band, the Violent Femmes, Pete Yorn, Antibalis, and the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Recently Tony has been performing in Chicago with the Quin Kirchner Quartet, the Jason Steele Quartet, Charles Rumback, and Satya's Timepass Chicago.
